DO I NEED THERAPY?
Therapy can be helpful in many ways. Individual often seek therapy after a particularly stressful or triggering event. However, it can be for self-improvement or to improve on something more chronic. It is important to note that if your symptoms are getting in the way of your daily functioning, such as work or relationships then it is important that you seek professional support.
WHAT DOES THERAPY LOOK LIKE?
Therapy can look different for everyone. In general, therapy is a safe, confidential, and supportive space for you to explore and work towards your goals. Depending on what your therapeutic goals are, treatment will look different. I work in a client-centered manner, focusing on your needs and goals. Therefore, your treatment will be tailored to you.
HOW LONG IS EACH THERAPY SESSION?
Individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes. Couples therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Consultation calls are 15 to 20 minutes.
HOW LONG WILL THERAPY TAKE?
Therapy can be short-term or long-term, depending on your treatment goals. Short-term treatment can take a few weeks to a few months. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a treatment that is short-term, problem-focused. Long-term treatment will vary.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THE TREATMENT IS A GOOD FIT?
Therapy can be an emotionally intimate process. It is important that you feel safe and comfortable. Therefore, a good fit with a therapist is important. I encourage clients to express any concerns about fit during the treatment process. I offer a free 15 to 20 minutes free consultation call to help address this concern.
DO YOU OFFER TELETHERAPY?
Currently, I only offer teletherapy via video or phone. In-person services may be available in the future.
